Life in the Pissant Swam: In the Kingdom of Oops...
So I have been teaching college courses at two colleges since late August. It is now October and assignments are coming due. So I recently had two of my students tell me that they just discovered that they had been reading the wrong introductory textbook. This despite the fact that my syllabus has the textbooks for the class and their ISBN's clearly listed. Ironically, I have each student in the class affirm on my online learning system that they read and understood the textbook. Apparently such affirmations are premature. Since this is an introductory class and introductory textbooks are pretty much the same, it is not as big of a deal as it could be. Nevertheless...
